how does whole body cryotherapy work?
When you enter the cryosauna/cryochamber, the sudden drop in temperature signals the brain to flow the body’s blood supply to the torso to insulate and protect the vital organs, which is why you may feel a pins and needles sensation in your extremities. When you exit the chamber, the blood is pumped vigorously back around the body, whichincreases the oxygen (and nutrients) supply and removal of toxins. The cold also triggers the nervous system to release feel- good endorphins, while the body’s natural anti-inflammatory reaction to sub-zero temperatures results in pain reduction.
is it dangerous?
No, KryoLife offers the world’s most advanced cryosaunas and cryochambers. The liquid nitrogen that is used as a chilling agent does not come into contact with your skin, and it is the same nitrogen that makes up the air we breathe (actually 78% of it). For added safety, chambers are equipped with an oxygen monitor, to pump additional air into the chamber.
is there anyone who shouldn't use it?
